Kennicot is an old copper mine that has been turned into a small vacation town. There is a lot to do there for a few days. This is the copper mine that rests at the bottom of a very tall mountain where the copper was mined and then sent down to be processed.

One of the fun activities was a guided glacier tour. It was very cool how glaciers have many features which resemble land: waterfalls, caves, hills, boulders, and deep cracks. Our guide explained how glaciers worked and we went many interesting places thanks to our crampons - which are the spikey attachments to our shoes that helped us walk on ice. We could even walk up very steep hills (that we probably couldn't walk up on normal land).
